In-Home Safety Inspection

Our In-Home Safety Inspection is an added service that is provided to you free of cost.  We believe that safety is an important issue within our client’s home; safety of our clients and safety of our employees. That is why we initiated a Home Safety Inspection for all new clients to ensure that there are no potential hazards within the home. This safety inspection will be conducted before we start services with you and will cover topics such as tripping hazards, electrical cords and telephone areas, smoke detectors, electrical outlets and switches, light bulbs, space heaters, wood burning stoves, and emergency exit plans.

We are meticulous and vigilant about ensuring the safety of our clients.

We will also provide our complimentary Home Safety Inspection for individuals who are not interested or in need of services with our company.

Family Respite Care

When a family member becomes sick or elderly and is unable to take care of themselves, it is admirable when family members can step in and care them in their time of need. Providing this type of care can also be overwhelming when you are trying take care of the things in your own life. Taking care of a loved one 24 hours a day, 7 days a week is a very difficult task to handle yourself. Empress Home Care can provide you with respite care and our caregivers can care for your family member during the times you are unable to.

Outside Landscaping

Many in-home care companies take care of the inside of their client’s houses by cleaning and organizing. Empress Home Care takes it one step further by offering light landscaping to keep the appearance of your outside looking as well-maintained as the inside of your home. This service is our gesture of thanks to you for letting us provide for your home care needs.

The light landscaping includes pulling weeds, spraying weed killer, and planting flowers.

Transportation

Our caregivers are permitted to drive you to a number of places to help accomplish your everyday responsibilities, including grocery shopping, your pharmacy, bank, doctor’s office, family/friend’s house, the movies, sporting event, family functions, or anywhere else you wish to go. Our caregiver can also stay with you during your time spent at each location.*

To ensure the safety of our clients, we check each of our caregivers’ driving records. Each employee’s driving skills are also tested during their initial interview. We also perform yearly driving record checks on each caregiver. For more information on our transportation services, please contact our office.

Pet Care

At Empress Home Care, we understand that your pet is family, but that taking care of your pet can be a burden at times.  That is why we provide pet care during the times our caregivers are scheduled to be in your home. The caregiver can clean up after your pets, let them outside, brush, feed, and look after them. This service is also available to you at no additional cost.

Snow Shoveling & Salting

Our caregivers are able to maintain the outside of your home in the winter months. They will shovel up to 6″ of snow or less from your walkways. They will also salt your walkways to prevent family, friends, or yourself from falling on ice.

*Our caregivers are able to transport and stay at a particular location with our clients, as long as it is during the normal client hours we are suppose to be there. If we need to transport our clients during times we are not scheduled to be with them, the client or Power of Attorney must contact our office to verify time changes for a particular day and payment confirmation if this trip will exceed the normal hours in a particular week. Please call our office to discuss further.
